Ben's Burgers
About This Spot
Ben’s Burgers feels like stepping into a familiar chapter of Livermore’s neighborhood story — the kind of place where time moves a little slower, and the hum of conversation mingles effortlessly with the sizzle from the grill. It’s the sort of spot that invites you to settle in, whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or lingering over an old-fashioned milkshake on a sunny afternoon. The pace here is unhurried, with a comforting rhythm that matches the friendly exchanges between servers and regulars alike.
This is not a hurried fast food joint but rather a local treasure where the focus is on simple, honest flavors prepared fresh and served with warmth. The air carries the inviting aroma of grilled patties and toasted buns, accompanied by the nostalgic soundtrack of laughter, casual chats, and clinking soda bottles. Ben’s Burgers isn’t just about grabbing a bite — it’s about reconnecting with a classic taste of community, the kind you might remember from your childhood or wish you had.
The menu unfolds like a well-loved story, where every burger, sandwich, or crispy fry is familiar yet thoughtfully crafted. There’s an understated satisfaction in sinking your teeth into a burger that’s been a morning, afternoon, or weekend companion for decades, or savoring a milkshake that serves as a sweet punctuation to your visit. This place carries the spirit of those who value quality and consistency without fuss, creating moments that feel personal no matter how many times you come through the door.
Ben’s Burgers quietly anchors its corner of Rincon Avenue as a welcoming haven where neighbors come together, memories gently linger, and every visit feels like catching up with an old friend over something deliciously simple.

Great customer service. Classic Nor Cal neighborhood burger joint. Friendly, comfortable and food was good too.

This place is not fast food, do not put it in that category. My wife and I love this place and miss it dearly. I don’t know why this place doesn’t have a line out the door. No one anywhere beats his prices! I recently had a burger at a fast food chain for twice as much. If you live close by or traveling and are hungry make sure this place is your first choice. We live elsewhere now but still haven't found a burger joint that is quite like this one. Ben has the best teriyaki burger on the planet. The milkshakes and fries here are great compliments to the burgers. I think Foster freezer has the best fries. Not many of them around anymore. Ben's fries aren't greasy and mirror Foster's the best. Look no further you have found the perfect place.

Just dined at Ben's Burger for the first time and I must say, the Ben's Burger and ribeye sandwich were a culinary delight. The homemade taste really sets them apart. I'm already looking forward to returning and exploring their diverse sandwich offerings. Every dish is freshly prepared to order, and the flavors are spot on. A true gem of a local business.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was about 5. I'm 39 now, it's been almost 23 years and it is the same burger and fry that I grew up with! The same food that I fell in love with 34 years ago is still as good as the first time I ever had it. Nothing like the classic Ben's Burger and fries. I remember living a couple miles from here and all the memories of walking them just so I could have an ice cream treat when I reached my destination. I have a 34 year old memory attached to this review. Absolutely delicious!

Old fashion good burger, fries & milkshake! My go to for a burger or just fries & a banana shake. Their Ben’s Burger & Hotlink Sandwich on a Frenchroll is my go to when I’m feeling greedy lol

Solid for sure, 4.5 overall, but I'll round up - because the service was good, it was affordable, and the food was tasty. Western burger, fries, and a cup of ice water was $12 ($13 with tip), which is a good value in 2025! It came on a French roll, not a bun, which was a little bit dry - that was my only qualm. But overall, very good meal for the price, I will definitely be coming back. EDIT: I went back and got the same thing on a round sesame bun, it was even better!

I ordered the Teriyaki burger with onion rings. I was beyond impressed by the quality, flavor of the toasted French roll. Not a traditional round hamburger bun. Furthermore the 20 years of experience of the staff, perfectly melted the Swiss cheese, mushrooms (nicely sautéed) & teriyaki beef that made my taste buds “YUM YUM MMMMM” As a result, I highly recommend this establishment. It might kit have the new gen vibe but it’s delivers scrumptious

I've been coming to Ben's almost once a month now since I moved closer. The first time I had it was like 15 years ago. Very consistent the corndogg and loaded hotdogs are awesome! Always super friendly service. Just hard to beat a really good fresh avocado burger I always add a pineapple. Don't skip on their onion rings or chicken nuggets either! Will always come back.
